It depends on the size and type of the candle. The burn time is listed in the product parameters. Small decorative candles burn for roughly 5–7 hours, the large decorative pumpkin for about 16 hours.

The first burn matters most. Let the candle burn until the wax melts evenly almost to the edges of the container. Candles in tins and in Jesmonite vessels with a wooden wick need 2 hours at most, Jesmonite vessels with a cotton wick 3 hours at most and candles in glass 3–4 hours. If you put the candle out too early, it may start tunnelling.

Trim a cotton wick to 3–5 mm before every burn, including the first one. A wick that is too long makes a large flame and black smoke and melts the wax too fast. A wooden wick only needs a light trim: gently break off the cooled burnt part with your fingertips. A wooden wick takes 10–20 seconds to light, so we recommend a lighter.

Decorative candles such as flowers, bears or pumpkins ideally for 1 hour at most, always on a large enough non-flammable plate, as wax may run out of them. Do not let taper candles burn for more than 1 to 2 hours and do not move them while burning.

Our candles are intended for adults. Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep candles and wax melts out of reach of children and pets. Some fragrance and essential oils are not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, small children and animals. Candles and wax melts are not edible.

Paraffin is made from crude oil. We pour our candles from soy wax and beeswax, some candles in tins with an addition of coconut wax. Our waxes contain no pesticides, herbicides or petroleum additives. Soy wax melts and runs more than paraffin, so always place candles without a container in a holder or on a non-flammable plate. An uneven surface or “wet spots” on the glass are a natural property of wax without additives, not a defect.

Our fragrance and essential oils are made from quality ingredients, are not tested on animals and contain no parabens or phthalates. They come with IFRA and SDS safety documentation and comply with EU regulations. Scented candles and wax melts are labelled according to CLP and we will send the safety data sheet on request.

Every candle is handmade, so shipping your order may take up to 5 working days. We will let you know as soon as the parcel is handed over to the carrier.

Delivery to a Zásilkovna or PPL ParcelShop pickup point costs 79 CZK and is free for orders from 1,500 CZK. Home delivery is provided by PPL. You can pay by card (including Google Pay and Apple Pay), by bank transfer or cash on delivery with a 49 CZK fee. See Shipping and payment for details.

Yes. Many candles, especially scented candles in glass, already come in a gift box, which is always stated in the product description. For selected products you can also choose the packaging on the product page: a gift box, a cotton bag or no packaging.

Yes, within 14 days of receipt and without giving a reason. The goods must be unused and in their original packaging. Fill in the return form and send the goods to Hostěnice 11, 664 04 Hostěnice, Czech Republic. We will refund you within 14 days. See Returns and complaints for the full procedure.
