All candles are hand-poured in South Moravia. The entire process is a craft of love – from pouring the wax to the final packaging. The candles are made from soy wax free of any toxic substances. Small imperfections such as bubbles or minor color variations may occur due to handcrafting.

Candle composition:

• 100% soy wax
• cross wooden wick
• fragrance composition from natural essential oils
• Jesmonite candle container

The container is made of Jesmonite, an eco-friendly resin composed of a water-based acrylic and mineral base. It contains no solvents or VOCs, making it environmentally friendly.

Due to the nature of Jesmonite, small air bubbles or surface irregularities may occur during production. These minor imperfections give each piece its authentic handcrafted character. After the candle has burned out, remove any remaining wick and wash the container with warm water. You can reuse it as a small plant pot or a pen holder.

Remember that the first burn is very important. Let the candle melt all the way to the edges but not too long (maximum 3 hours). Proper wick care ensures the flame doesn’t get too large and the candle lasts longer.

Wooden wicks require slightly different care than cotton ones. Before each relighting, gently remove the burnt tip with your fingers once the candle is cold. Don’t use force – breaking off too much could make it difficult to relight.

Tips:

Wooden wicks often take 10–20 seconds to light and may catch fire only on the second or third try. We recommend using a lighter instead of matches.

If tunneling occurs in the wax, you probably extinguished the candle too early. To fix it, wrap the candle with foil, leaving a small hole for the flame → the heat will melt the wax evenly again.

Once the candle has served its purpose, give the Jesmonite container a second life – wash it in warm water, remove the wick, and use it as a small flower pot or decorative bowl.

All our scented candles bear labeling according to CLP legislation. Safety data sheets are available upon request.

Every consumer must comply with the safety recommendations stated on the candle packaging and on our website.

During transport, the label with safety information on the bottom of the candle may come off. Please carefully read these safety instructions.

ČSN EN 15494 (650121) specifies safety labeling for candles intended for burning in rooms.

All candles from Louky Studio are intended for legally competent adults. Louky Studio is not responsible for misuse of products and all products are used at your own risk. Some fragrant and essential oils are not suitable for pregnant and nursing women, young children, and animals.

All fragrant and essential oils are made from high-quality raw materials, have not been tested on animals, and do not contain parabens or phthalates. Essential oils used in candles and other products have all important safety data sheets – IFRA, SDS – and comply with all EU regulations.

Candles and other products are PROHIBITED FOR INTERNAL USE and are not intended for CONSUMPTION!

Candles have a minimum shelf life of 2 years. Please note that the fragrance develops gradually during storage.

Candles and other products are not certified as cosmetic products under current EU law.

The candles are made from premium soy and beeswax. Waxes do not contain pesticides, herbicides, or petroleum byproducts.
