Each candle is hand-poured in South Moravia, crafted with care from the first pour to the final packaging. Because every candle is handmade, small imperfections like air bubbles or slight color variations are completely natural.
Ingredients:
- 100% soy wax and gel wax
- Cotton wicks
- Natural fragrance oils
- Recycled wine bottle container
We offer glass candles in two variants:
- smooth candles without prominent surface decoration,
- candles with pronounced surface decoration.
The behavior of the candle during burning may vary slightly depending on the variant, which is important to keep in mind when using it.
First burn and wick care
⚠️ The first burn of the candle is crucial for proper performance.
The wick must be trimmed to 3–5 mm before every lighting (before the first use and each subsequent use).
A properly trimmed wick:
- ensures a calm and stable flame,
- extends the candle’s lifespan,
- reduces the risk of smoking and overheating of the glass container.
An overly long wick may cause:
- black smoke,
- an excessively large flame,
- excessive wax melting and overheating of the glass.
If the wick begins to sink into the wax, it has been trimmed too short. In this case, gently remove some wax around the wick using another object. The candle must not be lit or hot while doing this.
Burn time and wax behavior
During the first burn, it is important to let the candle burn long enough for the wax on the surface to melt as evenly as possible.
-
Candles without top decoration
Let the candle burn until the wax melts almost to the edges of the container.
⏱️ The maximum recommended burning time is 3–4 hours. -
Candles with top decoration
Allow the candle to burn as close to the edges as possible, but no longer than 4 hours.
This type of candle may create tunneling in the wax, which is a natural effect caused by the surface decoration and safety considerations. The goal is to prevent overheating of the glass container. Unmelted wax near the edge of the glass may remain up to approx. 0.5 cm.
Safety warning
⚠️ For safety reasons, never allow the candle to burn until it is completely finished.
We recommend extinguishing the candle when approximately 1 cm of wax remains above the bottom of the glass.
A burning wick in a glass container without a sufficient layer of wax may cause the glass to overheat and crack. Such damage cannot be accepted as a reason for a complaint, as it results from improper use.
Any remaining wax can be safely melted and used in an aroma lamp.
Natural characteristics of natural waxes
Does your candle have:
- an uneven surface,
- wax separating from the sides of the container,
- or the appearance of so-called “wet spots” or sweating?
These are completely natural characteristics of additive-free natural waxes. They are a sign of a gentle composition and have no impact on the quality, scent, or functionality of the candle. They are not manufacturing defects.
Second life of the glass jar
Once the candle has burned out, you can give the glass container a second life. Simply wash it in warm water and remove any remaining wax and the wick. The jar can then be reused, for example, as:
- a drinking glass,
- a candle holder,
- or a small plant pot.
